  1. Take Deep Breaths. Cleansing both physically and mentally, deep breaths are one of the fastest ways to relax and get the most out of your massage.


  1. Feel at Ease. The massage room is a safe and confidential environment in which you should feel entirely comfortable.


  1. Communication is the key to a relaxing massage.  Massage is a very subjective experience. Some clients enjoy certain aspects of massage that others do not. By communicating your likes and dislikes, you will have a more positive massage experience.  Make sure you discuss the areas that you want worked on, areas you would like to avoid, and the level of pressure that feels best to you. Communication doesn't have to end when you lie down on the table either: speak up if you feel uncomfortable at any point during your massage.
